Limitations
MetaRase removes embedded metadata and provenance data from supported image containers. It does not guarantee removal of invisible watermarks, steganography, perceptual fingerprints, or sensitive information visible inside the image.
MetaRase removes embedded metadata, provenance records, GPS data, editing history, and common AI workflow metadata from supported image files. Pixel-level watermarks such as SynthID are not file metadata and cannot be reliably detected or removed by a general-purpose browser tool. It also does not guarantee removal of steganography, perceptual fingerprints, or sensitive information visible in the image itself.
